My friends and I had an GREAT time today at SparkCon, a festival of the arts.

There were street vendors from local artists of all ages, street art that ranged from chalk murals and graffiti to live music...

Kids were fascinated by a street cone dinosaur, a center piece on Fayetteville St. downtown Raleigh.

And to top the day off with a theater performance of Cirque De Soile: Dream Illumination was like icing on the cake...

I took a family trip to New York over Labor Day weekend. It was a really great experience. My step-brother got married and I helped my step-sister pick out a wedding dress for next summer. I love the buzz and movement of city life.
